Everything we eat influences our body and overall health. Our digestive system breaks food and drinks down into tiny bits and either absorbs or eliminates them. The bits that enter the bloodstream pose as building blocks for skin, bones, organs, blood, hormones, neurotransmitters, enzymes, the glucose our body uses for fuel, and so forth.
